The DBRL targets two main biosensor areas that include biophysical and biochemical sensors. Our research portfolio consists of innovative research based on urgent market needs such as Pointof-Care (POC) blood pressure monitoring, Lab-on-a-Chip Technology platform targeting medical and environmental applications as well as smart tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of challenging spinal surgeries.
An exciting opportunity to work with the DBRL group in Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health systems has opened up.
The successful candidate should have basic and/or advanced hands on experience in the following areas:
Theory , design and testing of biosensors
Biological sensing interfaces (antibodies, DNA, cell, etc.)
Basic electrical and electronics circuits
CAD based software
Familiarity with biochemical diagnostic techniques (immunoassays, DNA probes, etc.)
Integrated circuit microfabrication techniques (photolithography, etching, deposition, etc)
Medical product development process
