"Business Plan Competition Kicks Off with Workshop "
LeBow College of Business and the Laurence A. Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship in Technology are kicking off a new series of Business Plan Development Workshops, designed to teach skills for preparing winning business plans and to introduce students to the world of entrepreneurship and the opportunity to turn innovative ideas into successful businesses.
"The ABCs of Entrepreneurship" will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2004, in the Baiada Center at 3225 Arch Street (ground floor of the Academic Building).
Students interested in competing in the 2005 Business Plan Competition are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop. Attendance at all events in this workshop series fulfills one requirement to compete in the full business plan phase of the competition.
The 2005 Business Plan Competition has two phases:
Phase I: Concept Paper - deadline for submissions: January 19, 2005. Phase II: Full Business Plan - deadline for submissions: April 21, 2005.
Students compete to win more than $65,000 in cash and in-kind prizes and the opportunity to develop their plan into a revenue-generating enterprise in the Baiada Center's state-of-the-art business incubator.
