Details:
This presentation will give the audience an overview of current biomedical imaging modalities,
and a summary of the technological advances in optical coherence-gated imaging and endoscopy
and its applications in cancer detection and tissue engineering.

Biosketch:
Dr. Yingtian Pan is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh and Principal Investigator at the NSF Science and Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University. He received his PhD in Lasers and Optical Engineering at the Chinese National Laser Technology Laboratories in Wuhan China, and his postdoctoral training in Laser Medicine at the Medical Laser Center Luebeck, Germany. The current research focus of his lab is on biomedical optical imaging. He has authored over 20 journal publications.
