Fred Weiner, president of Dragonfly Forest in Conshohocken, PA, will discuss how he and his fellow employees are motivated by a desire to better understand and mold the experiences of children with autism and other medical needs at Dragonfly Forest. They do this because, while Dragon Forest provides what looks like a traditional camp experience to its participants, they actually are employing an Intentional Programming Model. This model is based on the assumption that all camp activities can lead to learning and growth. Experiences at camp are as diverse as the children who attend. The result is a unique educational institution that provides a positive force in youth development.

Biosketch:
Fred Weiner is the President of Dragonfly Forest, a year-round camp experience for children with autism and medical needs, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Mr. Weiner has been involved since 2002 in the development of the Dragonfly Forest organization and program. He has over 25 years of experience helping companies with their business development and technology needs. Mr. Weiner has worked with numerous well-known Corporate 1,000 and middle market companies in a variety of vertical industries. He has developed business, market, and partner strategies to support overall organizational goals. He has been involved in the not-for-profit world as a consultant, project manager, and volunteer for national organizations such as Make-a-Wish, Cystic Fibrosis, Mercy Volunteer Corp, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and various other smaller organizations. Including his own consulting organization, Mr. Weiner is known for helping to build companies such as Influent, Proscape Technologies, and Omicron Consulting, and has also worked for AMS, Keane, IBM and CBS. He holds a degree in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University.
