NIRScan
NIRScan is the developer of a unique near-infrared (NIR) based optical scanner for breast cancer detection, known as NIRScannerTM. This scanner is a hand-held, safe, affordable, non-invasive, hygienic, battery-operated personal health care device aimed for wide-spread use by women in all segments of the population. It is introduced as a personal healthcare as well as a public health solution to breast cancer pre-screening. The device is not designed to replace x-ray mammography, MRI, PET, ultrasound, optical imagers, thermal and microwave radiometry, breast biopsies, or periodic physical breast exams. It will be positioned as a Òfirst line," affordable, and easy to use mass screening device, available to the general population and over the counter without a prescription.
