Visit our Library Assistant, Laura Moyer. She works in the Hagerty
Library. She can be reached at 215 895-6843 to schedule an appointment.
She can provide you with resources, co-op websites, job search material,
resume writing books etc.
Review the Direct Apply Classifieds. These are job descriptions
that employers fax or e-mail to us on a daily basis. They are normally
full-time jobs that employers want to fill immediately. These job
opportunities are located in the Career Management Center (Main 222).
Job Search Sessions. These sessions are offered every Monday from
4-5pm in the Career Resource Room (room 130) in the Hagerty Library.
Students will be given some handouts as well as advise on job search
strategies.
Drexel University as well as other Universities and Convention
Center hold Job/Career Fairs. It is highly recommended to attend these
events. It is a way for you to meet with many different employers at one
location. You are encouraged to bring many copies of your resume, dress in
business attire and research companies prior to speaking with them.
Network with family, friends and students. Let everybody know that
you are looking for a job. The more people you speak to, the more likely
you are to find somebody who may have heard of a job opening.
Research any organizations or clubs you can join in your field of
study. This is an additional way to network. You would be networking with
people that have common interests with you as well as knowledge that can be
useful for future job searching.
Visit you Co-op Coordinator to learn about any opportunities that
may currently be available.
